If you enjoyed reading our blog about predicted winners for 2022’s Luxury Cosmetic Forms Winners, you’ll love this one just as much. This time, we’re pivoting our focus to the world of oral care and analyzing some of the top 13 forms that we think will take the industry by storm in 2023. We looked at various factors, including current trends, growth rate percentage, and share of voice percentage, to make our predictions. We did this using our White Space AI tool, and the results were quite interesting. Take a peek.

Dental Wax

oral care - dental wax

First on our list of predicted winners is dental wax. This product relieves pain or discomfort caused by orthodontic treatment and creates a smooth barrier that prevents further irritation. Consumers who use Dental Wax are looking for a solution that allows time for the mouth or sore spots to heal. Dental Wax is expected to have the highest growth rate at 37.96 percent. Additionally, it has a 0.20 percent share of voice.

An example of Dental Wax that we feel will see significant growth in 2023 is the GUM® Orthodontic Wax, Vitamin E + Aloe Vera.  This product is gentle on sensitive gums and helps keep braces, wires, and other orthodontic devices in place. It’s available in a convenient carry case so that consumers can take it with them on the go, so in our world focused on consumer convenience, we think this is a product that will continue to grow in 2023.

Tablets

oral care - tablets

Next up are Tables, which currently hold a 0.30 percent share of voice in the oral care industry. This product is designed to be taken orally and dissolved in the mouth, providing a convenient way to care for your oral health needs. They’re also becoming increasingly popular because they’re seen as a more natural alternative to traditional oral care products. In terms of growth rate, tablets are expected to see a 28.96 percent increase in the coming year.

We think that one product that will see significant growth in 2023 is this FLORASSIST® Oral Hygiene, which is a probiotic supplement that helps support oral health. This product is designed to be taken once daily, and it’s available in a convenient tablet form. It’s also non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegan, so it’s an excellent choice for people looking for a natural and convenient way to take care of their oral health.

Picks

oral care - picks

The third form on our list is Picks. With a 0.43 percent share of voice, Picks are the form with the largest market share that we’ll cover in today’s article. Dental Picks from up-and-coming oral care companies like Quip will see sustained success and growth across 2022 and 2023 by offering products like this Refillable Floss Pick Set.

This product is designed to be used with floss and is a convenient way to keep your teeth clean and healthy. The set comes with a pick and a case, and it’s available in a variety of colors. It’s also refillable so that consumers can use it repeatedly (sustainability is a big theme, remember?). Picks are expected to see an 18.19 percent increase in the coming year in terms of growth rate.

Sticks

oral care - sticks

What are oral care Sticks, anyways?  They’re basically like toothpicks but designed for teeth instead of gums. They’re becoming increasingly popular because consumers view Sticks as a natural way to clean teeth. With a 0.17 percent share of voice, Sticks possess the second smallest market share among all the forms we’re covering today. But don’t let that fool you — Sticks should expect to see a 17.28 percent growth rate in the coming year.

Scrapers

oral care - scrapers

Last but not least are Scrapers. These oral care tools are designed to remove plaque and tartar from teeth, tongues, or the roofs of mouths, and they’re predicted to have a 0.13 percent share of voice in 2023. That’s not a huge number, but they’re expected to grow at a rate of 15.50 percent, so they’re worth keeping an eye on.

Even major players like Invisalign are trademarking their signature Scrapers, like these PULTOOL® – 2 pack. Products like these are likely to become more popular as people look for clever or innovative ways to take care of their oral health at home.

Push Forward With These Forms

So, there you have it! We predict these are the top five oral care forms that will be the big winners in 2023. Dental Wax es, tablets, picks, sticks, and scrapers are all expected to see significant growth in the coming year, so if you’re looking to get ahead of the curve, these are the forms to focus on.
